One of the main critics addressed towards Social Forums is that this is just an event that has only few concrete proposals as an output. However, Social Forums are becoming a global space for articulations that facilitate the elaboration of alternatives and common plans of action towards other possible worlds. The wall of proposals intends to show 300 proposals that were formulated during WSF 2005's activities, in Porto Alegre, which can be read or search.
The wall of proposals is one basis to social forums' living memory that would enable to transform the social forums into a permanent and global process of articulations, working at distance, to which every organization could participate in order to promote collectively concrete alternatives.
The living memory will also enable to discover and strengthen other basic forms of intercommunications between organizations:
- instant memory
- wsf in the medias
- reports of activities organized at the forums
- pictures and videos
- audio files
- evaluation and methodology...
Submit new proposals
If you couldn't submit your proposals during the MedSF, we kindly request you to submit them until 30th July 2005. From 25th June, you can submit your proposals online, on this website (soon available). If you have already some files (form) with proposals, you can send them to: propostes-fsmed@ memoria-viva.org
Audio and visual memory
If you have pictures, videos or audio files related to MedSF, you can select some of them and get them ready.
Within the next few weeks, we will be able to put them online, launching the construction of SF's audiovisual memory.
Forums' living memory
We're looking forward to build collectively a living memory of every social forum, from WSF to the thematic or regional ones. For instance, we will only put links to the websites of former forums' memories. If you have reports, pictures, proposals,... from other forums, you can get start gathering them. Within the next months it should be possible to publish them online.
